The museum set up in these industrial buildings belongs to the firm ÉKOLO Productos Ecológicos, S.A., which supports the recovery and promotion of the cultural heritage of the surrounding area as a common asset of the whole of Europe. The aim of the Olive Oil Museum is to offer the public at large a space where they can reflect upon the importance of the olive grove and olive oil throughout history as a food resource and as a factor of economic development.
To set up the museum, the aforementioned company takes advantage of the Leader Plus Community Initiative in order to fund the olive oil exhibition project.
